About us

Camel Dairy Smits is the only professional camel dairy in Europe, with around 100 one-humped camels (dromedaries). In addition to milking the camels, we welcome visitors, families, companies, and school groups every weekend for tours, workshops, and children’s parties.

During such a visit, guests can pet the camels, ride on them, bottle-feed the calves, or even make camel milk ice cream! No day is the same here, and that is exactly what makes working with us so much fun!

What are you going to do?

As a tour guide, you ensure that our visitors have an unforgettable day. Your duties are incredibly varied, for example:

• Guiding groups.
• Helping with tours and workshops
• Preparing and serving drinks or lunches
• Explaining the camels (you will learn this step by step, of course)
• Tidy up and clean afterwards
• Give tours independently as soon as you are ready

What do we expect from you?

• You are enthusiastic, reliable, and social
• You enjoy working with people and animals.
• You are available to work flexibly on weekends and during holidays.
• You are at least 15/16 years old
• You live in (the area of) Berlicum
