With the Discovery Tour at Smits Camel Dairy, you can stroll across the grounds yourself, receive a bag of feed, and discover everything about our camels and the operation of the farm in an interactive way. This outing is ideal for families, tourists, animal lovers, and anyone who wants to enjoy the animals and the surroundings at their own pace. The Discovery Tour is suitable for groups of up to 7 people.

The Discovery Tour offers a unique opportunity to pay an individual visit to a real camel farm. During this tour:

• You will receive a small bag of food to feed the camels.
• Learn everything about the animals and the Camel Dairy via informative signs.
• You don’t need a reservation; you can just walk in.

By walking around on your own, you experience the freedom to discover everything in your own way. You can take photos at your leisure, enjoy the surroundings, and at the same time learn about the life of the camels and their care.

Upon arrival, you will receive a small bag with food and an overview with information. Next, you will walk past the camels and the stables. Along the way, you will encounter various information points providing explanations about:

• The behavior and life of camels
• The daily care of the animals
• How a camel dairy in the Netherlands works
• Interesting facts about camel milk

Thanks to the bag of food, you can feed the camels in a safe and fun way. This is an experience that appeals to both children and adults and contributes to a better understanding of the animals. You have plenty of time to look around, take photos, and admire the camels up close. Afterwards, you can also taste the milk in our restaurant.

The Discovery Tour is available from Monday to Friday, between 10:00 and 16:00. The price is €7.50 per person, with children under 3 participating for free. Please note that the Discovery Tour is not available during our holiday safaris. The great thing is that no reservation is required; you can simply walk in for a spontaneous outing to the farm. This makes the tour ideal as part of a day out in the region or as a short trip during a workweek or holiday.
